This was the lowest cost park in our 26 day journey. We stayed here five years previously when it was a KOA. Little has changed. New owners are struggling with switch from KOA to Good Sam. Bathrooms and showers were fine. Our site was tough to negotiate. We had to disconnect our tow vehicle to leave. Our friends stayed in site next to us, and they had no such problems so it varies by site. The pond is nice, and the dog run is really a dog run - NICE change of pace from the doggie stand-and-messes we've had everywhere else. Highway noise is relentless, but August in Missouri you are running your A/C full blast anyway so for an overnighter, it was passable. Trailer next to ours was a wreck and kept his sewer hose loosely placed in the cleanout just poorly enough to make our picnic area smell like his black tank. The owners of this park will have a challenge turning this into something desirable with those kinds of loose rules and low rates. This park is a stop, not a destination.

A beautiful park. Lots of privacy between campsites due to native pines and cedars. Tight turns required but no problem for our 34' towing Jeep. Park is on a hill but sites all seemed very level. People were great. The access road (Old Las Vegas HWY) is a bit long in the tooth but once you enter the park, you're in a beautiful place with tons of ambiance and everything you'll need for a great stay. We travel with kids and they had a blast between game room, biking park and playground. A great stay would do it again and stay longer if possible.

Fantastic staff went out of the way to accommodate and welcome us. Park is classic stuck-in-time Texas state park but very well maintained. All sites are back-in but very easy access. Since sites are back-in, you'll be disconnecting your towed vehicle but there is plenty of space to park it astride your motorhome. Beautiful geography and wildlife to study. Lots of history to learn about. A great stay. We over nighted and would gladly do it again and even stay longer given the chance.

Very well laid out park - best of our trip. Plenty of room to maneuver motorhome & towed vehicle. We were very disappointed with 30A power supply, however. We were reading 104V. The low voltage blew out my motorhome's EMS board when the second A/C tried to come online. Bummer in 104 degree heat when only one A/C would work. The 50A side of the box had 115V so we used that but the damage was done. Pool was pure chlorine but a welcome break from the heat. Trees over each site do well to provide shade, but poured sap on our awning over just two short nights. What a mess to clean up. All in all, a good, 'premium' campground with good security but boring location that doesn't do much for ambiance. Next time will try something different.

A HUGE KOA park. As such, there are plenty of amenities - most we've ever seen. Showers and bathrooms were top of the mark. Site was level and shaded. Everything worked. However, it's located in a very odd part of town. Close to downtown but also a rail yard, industrial parks and not exactly high rent neighborhoods. We did not feel entirely comfortable at this park but there are few other options available near Sandy, UT where we were visiting friends. This is a great, old KOA but could be a lot nicer if located in a better part of town.

We loved this stop. Our only mistake was making this a one-nighter. So much to do and see at Devil's tower and the beauty is amazing. This stop and this park surpassed our expectations. Good facilities, great shop, restaurant, beautiful location and views. Only complaint was laundry. What a bummer they use very poorly maintained laundry equipment! Otherwise, this could have been a 9 or 10. We're coming back!

This is it! The best RV park we've ever visited. No complaints at all. Perfect in every way. Clean, well supplied, well attended, well laid out, easy access, beautiful location, great ambiance, secure, just fabulous. The first and likely only "10" rating I will ever give. We stayed only 2 nights. What a mistake! Next time we'll come and stay all week (if not all summer!). Worth every penny.

This is a very clean, very well maintained campground. It cost us a relative FORTUNE (hence the 8 rating) since we had three kids (who never left the RV). We hate that pricing scheme. The price should be for the dirt you squat over - period. Sites are gravel. Ours was level. Landscaping is beautifully maintained grass. The buddy sites are very cool if you are camping with family and want to "kiss" awnings. My parents were there in their motor home and we were able to pull right up next to them. On a longer stay, this would have been nice. We arrived after 7:00p with no reservation. The office was closed but the camp hosts happily opened the office, got us set up and showed us to our site. Nice folks. We will definitely stay again (provided we have saved enough pennies in time).

By far this is the saddest and worst kept KOA property we have ever stayed at. From the filth in the office to check in, I hustled out to the RV to tell my wife I did NOT want to stay at this facility. She's convinced me we were only staying overnight and would be on our way in the morning. I relented and regretted every aspect of this stay. Ancient amenities that haven't been replaced, repaired or so much as repainted in decades. This campground is a true shambles. Even accessing it (through a closed gas station parking lot) is funky. It needs to lose its KOA membership (yes, I've shared this data with KOA too). Don't stay here. There is a fabulous campground just a few miles East in Tipton, IA - Hunts Cedar River Campground. See positive reviews on this site.

We've been staying at Sleepy Hollow for five straight years for Airventure EAA. We stay ten days every year. Jeff and Barb are fantastic. Friendly and helpful. They take care of anything that needs attention and always with a smile. This is the ONLY way to "do" Airventure. The sites are 20' x 40' each. At only $42/night, if you need more room, rent two! Water and electric at every site. Sewer trucks run every day and pump you out for only $25. Wi-Fi is available. It simply blows EAA's Camp Schoeller away. You will still meet/know all your neighbors but you'll be in an oasis in the middle of everything. Kamping Kabins are rough and simple but new. Pets are welcomed. Neighbors respect quiet times. "Back 40" sites do not have water hookups yet but lets just see what Jeff and the 'red shirts' have planned for coming years...

This is a great state park. Tons of sites. Very well maintained and manicured. Fantastic trails and outdoor resources available (biking, fishing...). We only stayed 1 night and wished we had given ourselves more time at the park. Very conveniently located just a couple miles off I-35. We will definitely stay here again.

This is very large, popular campground. There are separate areas for overnighters (we were one), campers and longer stays. The overnight area is huge. Sites are VERY easily accessed even with very large rigs. The overnight area is nearer the Interstate but not necessarily a problem. It has rained relentlessly in this area all summer 2008 but the park looks great. The mosquitoes are friendly and the river view is ominous. We will definitely stay here again.
